Luton 1 and high flyers Chatham Ark Royal couldn't be separated in a pulsating clash. Martin Hewett had to find all his experience to come back from two down to beat an inform Martin Birley, 11, 5 in the fifth. The latter has got one of the best topspins in the game with a huge Brian Lara backlift! and it was evident against Russell Bates,  but once again, he just fell at the fifth, this time 11,8 in the decider. Mark Buckley was in tremendous form, and posted a terrific maximum, suprisingly beating Martin Hewett, three straight. The latter did pick up a brace as did Russell Bates. Mark Keefe can count himself unlucky, losing two fifth leggers, the closest, 15,13 in the fifth. Stuart Fritter overcame Keefe in four for his solo victory.
