This match might have finished 10-0 but Gannet didn't go quietly.  Only four games were won in straight sets and four others went to four and two went all the way, none more so than the doubles when Shahab Raza and Pam Butcher only just overcame Roger Chipperfield and Liu Yun Guo 9-11,11-9,12-10,9-11,14-12 in what must have been an enthralling doubles.  Elsewhere Steve McNally won his three while Noel Arasaratnam wasn't at the races.
