Howard 4 were able to field a full team for the visit of Luton 4 and ran out 7-3 winners. David Scott, who has been putting in some good performances this season without the rewards, finally got them in this match with his first treble of the season which also earned him the Player of the Match award. He was supported by a brace from Martyn Hughes and what could prove to be a vital single win for Michael Leonard ( playing up from the 2nd Division) who just got the better of Tony Boarer in a 5 leg game. Keith Ball was Luton's best player with 2 wins and Mick Barber got Luton's 3rd point after staging a great fightback to overcome Leonard after losing the first 2 legs. Howard move back up to 10th and Luton im afraid are looking doomed 17 points adrift at the bottom.
