Rainham 3 now find themselves out of the bottom 2 in Div 1 courtesy of the 4 points gained in this week's encounter with Howard 3. They were gifted 3 vital points as Howard could only find 2 players and that included a call up for Andrew Marchant from Div 2. Marchant had 2 very close games coming back from 2 legs down to defeat Jim Davie and then just failing to do the same in his battle with Peter Baker.That was Rainham's only point in actual play as John Kane had a fairly comfortable treble and Marchant added a 2nd win against Tim Davie and the away side also took the Doubles. Howard slip to 3rd in the table but play the team that took their 2nd spot, Luton 3, next week.
