Luton Inv 3 just about held onto their unbeaten record coming back from 3-5 down to claim a draw against Howard 4. Andrew Marchant, playing up from Div 2, showed what great form he is in, winning all 3 including coming back from 2 legs down to deny Phil Goldsmith his treble. Goldsmith performed his own dramatic fightback later in the evening  against Martyn Hughes who went on to beat Keith and Mary Ball for his double. The Balls did,however, both beat Gregg Hackers to support Goldsmith and Mary joined him to win the Doubles and secure the draw. Unfortunately the scorecard for this match was received well after the 48 hour deadline so Howard will be penalised a point in accordance with League Rules.
