Match Report

Anchs 4 pulled out all the stops to comfortably beat relegation rivals Chatham Dorset in this vital match at the bottom of Div 2 and as a consequence will finish one point and one place  above their opponents in the table. Only Gareth Dewdney could register 2 wins for Dorset who just avoid the drop following Howard 6's defeat to Cliffe Woods. This was only Anchs' 3rd win of the season and Greg Sammy was the star with his first hatrick and backed up by 2 wins each for Aubrey Maryott (who came back from 2 legs down to defeat Paul Cullern) and Michael Barker who once again was selected to strengthen Anchs' line up. Anchs also won a 5 leg Doubles which was their 12th Doubles victory and shows the value of the last contest of the evening over a season. For the record this match was played on 10/4/18 having been cancelled due to bad weather in week 24.
